Alana Alexander (Class of '03) is a Senior Music Performance major at UT. [posted 2006]

 

Nathan Alhades (Class of '05) is now the owner of Texas Shine Auto Detailing in Lake Travis.  He continues to do mobile detailing from his van, and is into music at ACC, playing baritone sax with the ACC Jazz Band. [posted 2007]

 

Christy Chermak (Class of '04), a Junior at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, continues playing in the Mustang Band, referred to as "The Spirit of SMU." The Mustang Band halftime football show centers around jazz high stepping music, so Christy had to put aside her LT clarinet and move to playing saxophone. She is in the Honors Program, majoring in Civil Engineering. Christy is also a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority and the President of the Theta Tau Engineering Fraternity. [posted 2007]

 

Rannon Ching (Class of '08) is a first year sophomore pre-pharmacy major at UT Austin. He has continued his love for music as a snare drummer for the Longhorn Marching Band. During off season, he plays the marimba with the UT percussion ensemble. Each Sunday he plays the drums for his church's high school Worship Praise team.  The opportunity to record with the band JET presented itself and he played the snare drum on one of their songs. TOM CRAIL (Class of '05) will perform during Summer 2007 with the world champion Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps out of Concord, California. [posted 2007]

 

Shannon Crowder (Class of '03) currently serves as the Cavalier Band's administrative assistant. [posted 2008]

 

ZACH DAMRON (Class of '07) is a freshman at Texas Tech University in Lubbock and is having fun as one of 76 trumpets in the 476 member Goin' Band from Raiderland - the largest college band in the country. Zach is in the Pre-Dental undergraduate program. [posted 2007]

 

Ryan DeOliveira (Class of '05) is marching (trumpet) for the Sam Houston State University Bearkats Marching Band.  He is a Music Education major, and is also in the SHSU Jazz Ensemble.  In Summer 2007, Ryan will march with the Bluestars Drum & Bugle Corps from Wisconsin.  [posted 2007]

 

Celeste Ginestra (Class of '04) is studying Music at UT and completed a semester of music study in Paris. [posted 2007]

 

Joe Jaeger (Class of '05) is performing on alto sax and soprano sax for the Trinity University Jazz Ensemble, which can be heard at different locations in San Antonio.  Joe is working on a dual major in Political Science and Business, with a minor in Spanish. [posted 2007]

 

Marcus Jameson (Class of '06) is entering his junior at Trinity University where he plays trumpet in the Wind Ensemble band.  He is an engineering major with concentration in electrical/computer engineering.  He is currently in China on an engineering study program. [posted 2008] 

 

ERIN KADER  (Class of ’07) attends Texas A&M University in College Station where she continues her musical interest by being a member of the A&M Concert Band, playing French Horn.  She is a Biomedical Sciences major. [posted 2007]

 

Nicole Kader (Class of '06) is a member of the Baylor University Golden Wave Band, continuing to play the piccolo.  In addition to marching, she also participates with the Court Side Players, supporting the Bears at home basketball games.  Nicole is an Accounting major, and made the Dean’s list spring 2007. Rachel Kressin (Class of '06) is a junior at Baylor University. At Baylor she is studying neuroscience and participates in the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core and the Honors Program. In the spring she will begin research for an undergraduate thesis for the Honors Program. She also currently plays horn in the Baylor Symphonic Band and enjoys spending time with her co-ed service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega. She has recently been honored with initiation into Phi Beta Kappa, a world-renowned academic honor society.  [posted 2009]

 

Lizze McElroy (Class of '01) played the clarinet and was in Color Guard and Winter Guard. She served four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps and is now living in Austin with her 4-year-old daughter, Bryanna, while pursuing a career in education.  [posted 2007]

 

Yvonne McElroy (Class of '02), now Yvonne Ray, was a Color Guard and Winter Guard member. She served two years active duty in the United States Marine Corps and is now living in Austin with her husband, Max, a soldier in the United States Army currently serving in Iraq. Yvonne is pursuing a career in business administration. [posted 2007]

 

MATTHEW ROGERS (Class of '03) graduated from Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and is currently a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. [posted 2009]

 

JESLYN ROY (Class of '05) is attending Texas A&M University in College Station. She's currently a Junior and is a member of the Texas A&M Symphonic Band. She's majoring in biology with plans of attending the University of Houston College of Optometry upon graduation. The Symphonic Band is traveling and performing in Europe this summer, including Austria, where Jeslyn will get to visit with Julia Steger, a former Cavalier Band exchange student. She's also employed by the Texas A&M Hullabaloo Band, who plays for all men and women basketball games. The games are often nationally televised and the students travel on a private jet around the country accompanying the teams!!   GIG 'EM!  [posted 2007]

 

Joni Scholl (Class of '00), now Joni Greene, has completed her Bachelor's of Music in Composition at Indiana University and will begin her  Master's in Composition at IU in the fall of 2007.  Her compositions include works for orchestra, choir, and small-medium mixed ensemble with a focus on saxophone music.  She is currently writing works for the saxophone students of Claude Delangle at the Paris Conservatory, along with Parisian cellist Antoine Pierlot.  This fall she will begin her first band work commissioned by the Dublin Middle School Band.  To contact Joni or to see her music please visit www.jonigreene.net. SARAH SHELTON (Class of '99) was a Color Guard member while at LTHS.  Sarah graduated from UT Austin in 2004 with a BA in History, and now lives and teaches in Taipei, Taiwan. [posted 2007]

 

Peyton Skinner (Class of '05) is a member of the Texas State University Salsa and Jazz Band where he continues to play saxophone. [posted 2007]

 

STERLING STEFFEN (Class of '07) is attending The University of Colorado at Boulder studying music.  He has made first chair in the symphonic band, 2nd chair in the 2nd jazz band, and is a member of one of the jazz combos.  Sterling is enjoying college life, practices 10 hours a day, and is planning on possibly becoming a professor of music. MEGAN TURNEY (Class of '05) is currently a junior and a History major at Texas State University. She's a very proud member of the Texas State University Bobcat Marching Band, where she serves as cymbal captain. With the drumline, Megan has played in many exciting and unique places. Most recently, the drumline played with Keith Urban during his concert this past summer at the Frank Erwin Center. Bree Wallace (Class of '07) is a sophomore at Bennington College in Vermont.  She plays her oboe in ensembles and in the Sage City Symphony. Bree's academic studies focus on anthropology, music and dance.  Bree is preparing to head to India to for the third time to volunteer. [posted 2008]

 

Myles Wallace (Class of '05) is a senior at Hiram College in Ohio.  He enjoys playing tenor sax in the  marching band and jazz ensemble. Myles is a creative writing major, a management minor and has enjoyed traveling to China, Africa and Peru as part of his academic studies. [posted 2008]

 

Stephen Wetterau (Class of ’08), a sophomore/junior studying electrical engineering & computer science at Texas Tech University, is enjoying his second year in the “Goin’ Band.”  He is enjoying marching band, trombone choir, and Kappa Kappa Psi band’s service fraternity. [updated 2009]

 

Russell Yeager (Class of '03) graduated from UT with a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a Project Engineer for Coyle Engineering, a small firm in San Antonio. [posted 2007]

 

Corey Zamzow (Class of '07) is a Junior at Baylor University where he is majoring in Medical Humanities with a PreVeterinary degree plan. At Baylor, Corey is a Community Leader (think Residential Assistant) where he mentors 16 of his fellow peers. Corey is also an active member in Alpha Phi Omega, a National Co-Ed Service Fraternity, and he is also beginning his third year on the committee for Baylor's annual Relay for Life. In some exciting news, Corey is now engaged to Rachel Kressin (also a former band member) who he met during his years in the LT Band. They will be getting married in June of 2010.  [updated 2009]
