Taylor Trevino has been the Assistant Director of Bands at Lake Travis High School since 2015. He directs the Marching Band, the Symphonic Band, and the first Concert Band. Prior to this, he taught at Douglas MacArthur High School in North East ISD in San Antonio, TX.  A graduate of Cedar Park High School and Texas State University, Trevino studied trumpet with Jack Laumer, Dr. Amanda Pepping, and Dr. Robert Cannon and music education with Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt and Dr. Amy Simmons.

While at Texas State University he was Trumpet Section Leader as well as Drum Major for the marching band. He student taught and served on the instructional staff at Vandegrift High School and has been on the instructional staffs at Ronald Reagan and James Bowie High Schools. Groups under his direction have received numerous Sweepstakes awards in marching and concert contests.

In addition to music and education, Trevino has performance experience with Orchesis Dance Company and the Shay Ishii Dance Company.  He has served as a visual judge for the Birdville ISD Marching Festival and has been an instructor for the Drum Major and Leadership courses at Texas Lutheran University’s Summer Music Academy. Mr. Trevino is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
