Ben Zein is in his 5th year teaching and 2nd year at Lake Travis High School. A native Austinite, he holds degrees in Music Education and Government from The University of Texas at Austin. 

 

While at UT, he performed with the University of Texas Wind Ensemble, studied oboe with Dr. Andrew Parker, and studied conducting with Prof. Jerry Junkin and Dr. Ryan Kelly. A devout supporter of all Longhorn Sports, he played piccolo in the Longhorn Band and was Section Leader for two years.

 

Mr. Zein has been on the staff of the Longhorn Music Camp and designs drill for multiple schools around Texas. He is an Austin FC Season Ticket Holder and on a quest to find the best queso in town.
